Vídeo del Nuxeo Developer Day

This is a little old, but I don't remember having it published anywhere.

Nuxeo Developer Day, I think this was in December. Paris (France).

And Daniel's presentation, of course:

Open Source ECM

Interview of Daniel Tellez, CTO and owner in Yerbabuena Software in Open Source ECM:

"We, Yerbabuena Software, are a very young company, and we are very proud to count with a staff of young professionals who want to do very big things in their career. I tell you that because this is one of the main reasons because we have embarked in many interesting and great projects, like the one that will let us annotate semmantically and classify contents in Nuxeo, or access to its repositories through a smartphone.

Our mission and goals fit perfectly with all of these, and can be summarized in the next sentence: to be a leading and international company, reference in the field of development, research and innovation based on opensource enterprise content management solutions. This mission has not been chosen randomly, but has been the result of a hard but funny process or rediscovering of our ideas and goals.

Nuxeo > Alfresco

Hi, thanks for the objective review, it really helped me choose, and btw, it is worth to mention here that Alfresco is not 100% open source (at least this is my point of view) as source code of updates and bug fixes is not disclosed to the community.

That's the last comment on the Alfresco vs Nuxeo: Open Source ECM review.
I'm glad many people are using the information wisely and that they understand that Alfresco is not a truly open source project, no matter what they say.

And if we speak about innovation, well, just wait and see.
Stay tunned!

Zoho and sharepoint don't make the cut

Sergio Montoro in his blog speaks about Zoho's integration with M$ Sharepoint.
2$ per year, in an attempt to gain quota.

Google Docs is not getting market either (less than 1%), I think both platforms are a bit ahead of their time. People like M$ Office and Open Office, and are not so used to the idea of collaboration.
In many companies, there isn't information management (ECM, ERP, CRM etc.) and only a shared files server can be found.
The transition to newer technologies is always smooth and soft, unless the technology proves itself to be close to a miracle.
The success is coming on projects like Nuxeo, Alfresco or KnowledgeTree, which are open source and easy to install and use. You can install Nuxeo on your server and use it at a much lower cost than other ECM products (Documentum, FileNet, Oracle UCM, OpenText). And you don't have to be dependent on the cloud like with Zoho or Google Docs.
